Bio:
My name is Anna and my pronouns are she/her.
I am a registered Art Therapist who is passionate about supporting children, adolescents and adults to explore emotions and lived experience. Through studying fine arts I became interested in how art making can be used to process grief and loss and decided to persue further training and a career in Art Therapy. Since then I have become deeply interested in person-centered and existential psychotherapuetic approaches. I encorporate these approaches within my practice as an Art Therapist to help clients who may have experienced trauma, mental ill health, disability, depression, anxiety, grief and loss. I also have experience working with young people with eating disorders.
I have past work experience in art teaching with primary school aged children. As part of my training I have completed an Art Therapist Internship at the Olivia Newton-John Cancer center with adult patients and at Monash Childrens Hospital. I currently work as an Art Therapist part time in a large peadiatric hospital.
Within the Finding Wellbeing team I am working individually with young people and adults at the Yellow Gum Art Therapy Studio on Sundays.
